best time of the week!

by kevvy @ 08/10/2006 - 06:45:07 pm

Yet another week over and Clare and I seem to have done a lot to the house, we spent yesterday getting doors from the retail park found some really nice solid pine ones we like, pulled them out the rack after checking the rack label for size, not the doors, got them home and we thought as we struggled upstairs and put them in the spare room they looked a little small, and they was, so yet again we ended up going to the retail park and this time we both check the labels on the racks and on the doors, we found them everywhere!
We repainted the spare room ready for Heather and Emma and the colours look much better, we have only painted half and are hoping that we get everything done including carpet by this coming weekend. We could have werked a lot longer and done so much more but our favourite time of the week has arrived, Sunday evening, it is the sad old same thing every week, we get showered order a takeaway, this week Chinese, got to bed with a few cobra beers and or takeaway and watch crap on the TV. Well it’s my turn in the shower and then we are going to order our food. Hope your week is a good one Kevin

There is very little I can say about this video clip but I urge everyone to view it and see how low mankind can get, I am a cat lover, and cats as well as dogs are very loving faithful animals I have seen worse clips but how can people do these things, we are suppose to be intelligent, to know the difference between right and wrong, a cat or dog will love you unconditionally.

Dangerous Job not me

by kevvy @ 05/10/2006 - 07:00:07 am

I was interested to read a report on the most dangerous job in the world and I was certainly thinking my job as a driving instructor must have ranked somewhere in the top 50??? Well they showed the top 15 and I never got a look in but lorry drivers come 10th? But something I did find while looking was the following and I only wish I could claim to have written it!  The most dangerous job in the world is being a member of the Star Trek Security Team.

Sure, most of the time you get to wear a great uniform and chat up up lots of hot chicks who are all wearing regulation issued short skirts. The work is easy: there aren't any car thefts and break ins are few and far between.

However, when you get the call to beam down onto a new planet with Captain Kirk, Spock, Bones and Scotty, you know you are not coming back.

You know you will be in for a horrible death to convince the viewers that this is a really dangerous planet, but without killing off one of the main characters. I've seen it with my own eyes - every episode.

No, I'd rather be one of the extras that just walk around the Enterprise all day, looking busy, but never actually shown doing anything, apart from walking around. No doubt I would get to spend most of my days in a gym and the evenings in the Ship's bar chatting up those girls in the short skirts.

Just to prove it

Dyslexia, how I hate the English language, I am one of those people who suffer from Dyslexia, not bad I must admit but suffer I do, to make matter worse we spell crap in this country, the following work, sorry werk as I like to spell it and how about my favourite legend where is the “d” in the middle now say it again leg-end so that’s how I say it, I have millions of them tell me why we have Gnome why the G in front making it Ga nome   G-nat, I know it’s silent then why put it there? How about phlegm why not flem, who in their right mind would spell it like that?  Then we have there, their, why, do not tell me it’s hopeless. And how about all those psych some things why not use an “f”” Cat why not Katt? Why do we have so many werds (another one of mine) for one fing (thing) why “th” and so on, Well I am glad that we have sorted out that as in future I am not going to look so hard at my spelling

long wait

by kevvy @ 04/10/2006 - 02:08:21 pm

It looks like the winter is almost with us and the heating and jumpers go on. I have just received my replacement hire car it took so much red tape standing on one leg and winking to get it. They brought me its twin, only less mileage, it’s a lovely car (VW Polo) but it is so boring it is well built does what the label says and when I get out I forget I have driven it before I lock the door. The insurance company rang me today and the nearside of my C2 is still on Factory back order so it is going to be in the body shop for a few more weeks yet. I sometimes look at the Polo and think, I will buy one of those when I give up work forever, it will make a great car when I get older and a bus pass! I suppose some people reading this may think I am a 19 year old nutter, I am a 48 year old bloke who is passionate  about driving and I like to drive well, not fast but very well. I know my faults all of them and drive always within my limits, even on my motorbike.
