People when read my blogs may have read about my problems with the bank and refunding on Friday, but I omitted to say that Thursday I took back to Pcworld a keyboard and mouse for a refund. Now when I went into Pcworld I choose the keyboard and mouse went to the till took out my bank card put it into the machine and after putting in my pin number took £79.99 from my bank account, so Pcworld let me take away my purchase. Now as I could not get the thing to work correctly as it was a RF keyboard and mouse and every taxi, or mobile phone seemed to switch it off I took it back. The process was almost the same I queued got to the till gave him the keyboard and mouse, my card and he put it through the machine and gave me the refund receipt I walked out the shop got in my car £79.99 richer. Well no the money never went into my bank but I gave him back the keyboard and mouse, all I got was a piece of paper so where is my money? I have checked my bank again this morning and it is still not there, has it said to itself, I had a shit Christmas no one got me anything I think I will go on a short winter break on the way to Kevin’s account! That nice Mr and Mrs Richards took me to a very nice hotel in the Lake district once and spent me on a slap up meal, I think I will give that place a look in on the way? Or maybe it felt like the leaders of the world and captains of industry are all in Davos, that is where the real money is I pop over there and take in a bit of skiing and live the high life for a while before he wastes me on junk food and another katt.So tell me this oh people of blogland why can’t we go into the shop and say I want a refund, give them our card sign a bit of paper saying when the money lands in our account we promise to give them the goods otherwise they will take our money back again why should we sit for days and sometime weeks before we can benefit from our money, if you went into Sainsbury this Friday to do your weekly shop give them your card and it took a week for them to get the money they would not allow you to take the stuff away so why should we have to give it back before we see our money

Where is my refund

If you got your refund in the shop on Thursday it will not be in your bank untill either Monday or Tuesday, a refund takes three working days to get back in to the bank from their bank, and Saturday and Sunday are not classed as working days.
Hope that helps to calm you a little
I hate that too!!
I play online bingo. When you credit your account it is taken from your bank acc straight away. When you win and transfer money to your card it takes 5 working days!!

Thank you both for your comments, but both my banks are open on Saturday, funny that most people work Saturday and even Sunday except our money, I think it is a profit thing. 3 or 4 days sometimes longer how much interest do they make??

I hate the whole so many working days thing. The day you put it in doesn't count as one. Neither does Saturday, although 9 out of 10 banks are open on Saturday.
These kind of hidden nasties in reverse can make you think you've got more money than you have, like when train tickets and stuff don't come out for four days.
God belss xx
I think it depends on what bank PcWorld use.
When you go shopping (to use your example) yes the money loeaves your account right away and is shown as approved transfer (hence why they let you take the groceries home ) but if you bank with a different bank than the store they don't phsically get it for 3 -5 working days.
Same thing if they are sending money to you. It will already have left them when you got the slip but is floating in cyber space finding its way to your bank.
Hope that makes sense.
